Classes Offered and Fee Schedule

SCHOOL POLICY:  Family members are encouraged to come and watch the classes. However, an adult other than the person training the dog must supervise children under the age of 10 years old.
 
 
 
PUPPY CLASSES: For puppies three to six months old who have had their puppy shots. Provides training in basic obedience and socialization.  See below for class starting dates.

BASIC CLASSES: For dogs six months and older, provides an introduction to basic obedience exercises (attention, on-leash heeling, recalls, sit-stay and down-stay) and develops the working bond between you and your dog. See below for class start dates.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES (2 levels): Reinforces the basic obedience exercises as well as introducing more advanced Canine Good Citizen requirements to help cement the bond between you and your dog. This class is held on a drop-in basis.

Intermediate I will be for those just completing the puppy classes and the beginners class.

Intermediate II will be for those students that are progressing in their training but not ready yet for advanced work.

ADVANCED CLASS: Working as a team, this class will provide you with more advanced obedience techniques and off-leash handling skills. This class is held on a drop-in basis.

ATTITUDES -- Classes for dogs with Behavior Problems -- See class descriptions below.

BASIC CLASS meets for 8 weeks. Provides an introduction to communicating clearly with your dog and understanding what your dog is communicating to you. Some basic obedience work. Addresses basic issues, such as how to read the body language of the aggressive, shy, and/or fearful dog. See below for class start dates.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS -- offers more basic obedience and socialization training, dog to dog as well as people to dog exercises. Addresses specific problems of individual dogs. Refine your knowledge of dog body language and how to get the best out of your dog. This class is held on a drop-in basis.

ADVANCED CLASS -- Refine the skills learned in the Intermediate class with individually tailored exercises and fun activities. This class is held on a drop-in basis.

PUPPY CLASS -- 7 week class.  New classes in 2010 will start on the following dates:  January 9 and 23, February 6 and 20, March 6 and 20, April 3 and 17, May 1, 15 and 29, June 12 and 26, July 10 and 24, August 7 and 21, September 4 and 18, October 2, 16 and 30, and November 13.  Please arrive by 11:00 a.m. for registration.  The class will begin at 11:15 a.m.  THE FIRST CLASS IS AN ORIENTATION CLASS -- DO NOT BRING YOUR PUPPIES.

ADULT BASIC -- 8 week class. New class begins every four weeks at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m. for registration. Class dates for 2010 are: January 9, February 6, March 6, April 3, May 1, May 29, June 26, July 24, August 21, September 18, October 16, and November 13.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES are offered as ongoing, drop-in classes at 10:00 a.m.  This class will continually review and expand your basic skills, prepare for Canine Good Citizenship testing and will introduce off-leash work.

ADVANCED -- This class is offered on an ongoing, drop-in basis.  Come do something fun and non-competitive with your dog.  Review/reinforce basic skills, learn other useful, fun behaviors, and MORE tricks!

$10.00 per class

AGILITY -- Non-competition -- This class will introduce your dog to the sport of Agility.  We are not training for competition in this class.  Your dogs will be introduced to jumping and tunnels.  The class is held at 10:00 a.m. on a drop-in basis.  If you have questions, please email us.

RALLY -- The hottest class in dog obedience.  This class introduces you to Rally competition - a cross between obedience and agility - and takes you to all levels from Novice to Excellent.  The class is held on a drop-in basis from 9:00 - 10:30. ALL DOGS MUST HAVE GOOD BASIC OBEDIENCE SKILLS.
